Abstract The fuel system is one of the most important and complex parts aircraft, being tasked with suppling correct quantity to aircraft engine during all operative conditions, from flight ground operation. It must operate efficiently in any condition guarantee safety reliability. A for kerosene-based fuels (i.e., jet fuels) a combination hydraulic components, namely, tanks, pumps, bypass valves, servovalves. aim this paper provide an accurate simulation model entire gas turbine (turboprop turbofan) engines, which can be used by manufacturers researchers evaluate performance under different operating conditions given components or select geometries obtain specific levels. numerical code developed Simulink environment, software package widely industry. detailed description provided paper, results are shown discussed. power consumption assessed as well, indication main sources losses, will useful current EU projects aimed at reducing aircraft.
